LOUISE REDKNAPP The sexiest woman of the decade – FHM Awards 2004

Louise was part of the mid 90’s girl band phenomenon Eternal, before embarking on a highly successful solo career. Louise’s warm bubbly nature endears her to male and female audiences alike and in 2004 she achieved the ultimate accolade of being named FHM’s sexiest woman of the decade.

Eternal was hugely successful, becoming the first all girl group to sell over a million copies in the UK and remains to be the top selling girl band of the 90’s. Louise went solo in 1995 and her first album, Naked, was a huge smash, spawning 5 hits, selling over 1 million copies and managing to conceive some very edgy accompanying videos. In 1997, Louise set off on her first UK tour, playing at over 20 sell out venues across the country including Wembley Arena. Pushing the boundaries and collaborating with some of the top US choreographers Louise’s routines were respected and well regarded as being ahead of their time. Louise released a further 4 albums over the next few years before embarking on a final UK tour. She then turned to presenting with a stint on CD:UK, her charming and down to earth style ensuring popularity with the viewers. She hit the UK Top 5 again with "Pandora's Kiss" in 2003.

Having taken a short time out to build her family with husband Jamie, Louise is now firmly back in the lime light. As the face of Thomas Cook, Triumph Lingerie and Nintendo Wii Fit as well as brand ambassador for Orbit complete Louise’s commercial presence is firmly reestablished. She has also entered into a successful TV presenting career; co hosting the re-launched Clothes Show, ITV2’s Soccer Aid 2006 and 2008 and fashion punditry for the BBC at Royal Ascot 2006. March 2007 also saw her undergo a punishing 30 day ordeal to expose the ‘Truth About Size Zero’. An in depth observational documentary that followed Louise on a personal journey investigating what it really takes to be super slim. In March 2008 Louise highlighted her business acumen and creativity as a member of the winning girls’ team on Sport Relief does The Apprentice. Spring 2009 saw a follow up ITV1 documentary ‘Super Skinny Pregnancies’ investigating the pressures on women to stay in shape during and after pregnancy.

Following a guest co-presenting stint in Summer 2009 alongside Tim Lovejoy on BBC’s ‘Something for the Weekend’, Louise kicks off 2010 as the new permanent co-host. She is also the third Judge alongside Arlene Phillips and ‘Nasty’ Nigel Lythgoe on BBC1’s new primetime Dance show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.
